9012-R1 - PROCEDURES FOR CITIZEN COMMUNICATION REGARDING STAFF

Adopted
6/06/06

Communication is essential for successful relationships and operations of district programs. To that end, the following procedures will serve as a guideline for communications.

If citizens wish to express themselves regarding a specific school, teacher, or child, dialogue should begin at the level closest to the concern:

Steps :

•  1. Visit with the teacher or guidance counselor at school.

•  Visit with the principal. (If a school-wide concern, this becomes

step one.)

•  Visit with an Assistant Superintendent.

•  Visit with the Superintendent.

If the citizen is not able to resolve the concern, he/she should request the person at that level to assist them in the process of moving to the next level.

Board members may ask the Superintendent to discuss citizen concerns with the appropriate staff person.
