8225 - USE OF REASONABLE AND NECESSARY FORCE POLICY

The Edmonds School District recognizes that the use of reasonable and necessary force by a District employee may be necessary to protect students, employees and others from imminent danger, prevent physical harm, or preserve life; therefore, it is the policy of the Edmonds School District to permit the use of reasonable and necessary force, consistent with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations, only when there are no other acceptable alternatives available to a District employee.
