It is the policy of the Edmonds School District to publically announce the need for architectural and/or engineering services in publications of general circulation. The announcement shall include a statement of the general scope and nature of the project(s) for which the services are required.
Interested firms and individuals engaged in providing services in these areas are encouraged to submit a statement of qualifications and performance data to the district. From such statements and other established criteria, as provided in the following regulation, an evaluation will be made to select firms or individuals to provide the needed services.
Following successful negotiations, the superintendent will recommend that one or more firms or individuals be contracted by the Board of Directors to provide the needed services.
In the event of an emergency, the Board may waive this selection process and the superintendent may secure such services as needed.
