In-District Staff Meetings
Refreshments may be provided at staff meetings, when, in the judgment of the administrator calling the meeting, providing such refreshments will contribute to the efficiency of the meeting. To minimize the cost of providing such refreshments, however, it is expected that refreshments will be limited to beverages only for recurring meetings held as a regular part of the work of a school or department , and that the purchase of food will be reserved for extraordinary events such as annual staff retreats and meetings that last a minimum of four or more hours.
Volunteers
In consideration for the performance of services to the district by volunteers who are not otherwise compensated by the district, the district may provide refreshments to such volunteers beverages such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
District Food Services
Administrators responsible for scheduling meetings are encouraged to contact the district food services department regarding provision of beverages refreshments at meetings.
