It is the policy of Edmonds School District to rent or lease surplus real property to other governmental entities, individuals or corporations for profit or nonprofit, commercial or noncommercial purposes.
Such rental or lease of surplus real property shall:
- not interfere with the conduct of the district's educational program and related activities;
- be in the best interest of the district;
- be for lawful purposes;
- comply with existing zoning ordinances;
- be for a reasonable term;
- permit the district to recall use of the property should it be needed for school purposes.
Moneys derived from the rental or lease of surplus real property shall be deposited in the Capital Projects Fund except for operating costs or other costs associated with the rental or lease of such property which shall be deposited in the General Fund.
