It is the policy of Edmonds School District to recognize that money and money management comprise the foundational support of the school program. To make that support as effective as possible, the Board intends:
- To encourage advance planning through sound budget procedures;
- To explore practical and legal sources of dollar income;
- To guide the expenditure of funds so as to achieve acceptable educational returns; and
- To require efficiency in accounting and reporting procedures.
As trustees of funds allocated for use in local education, the Board of Directors has the responsibility to protect the funds and use them wisely.
