It is the policy of Edmonds School District to enable members of the Board to become more effective in fulfilling their responsibilities as decision-makers, by providing an ongoing program of inservice training.
Such a program may include but shall not be limited to:
- frequent presentations of educational features at Board meetings;
- subscriptions to educational journals and bulletins for each member;
- information and resources provided by the superintendent;
- visitations to the schools and offices of the district;
- exchange of ideas and information through joint meetings with nearby school boards; and
- attendance at school board and administrators' conferences and conventions at the local, area, state and national level.
