The Character Trait for
May is....Generosity
This month we are emphasizing Generosity. When we give freely of ourselves without expectation, we are generous.
We can exercise generosity in your community by sharing our unique talents with others. In our homes, we can give to those who have less or not as much – when we donate coins, clothes, food or toys. We can also write letters to people in the hospital or relatives we don’t see too much.
Generosity can also mean caring; since without the thought and the heart behind it, such acts cannot fully be appreciated. Caring works within us to understand what the other person may be going through and the empathy shown is cherished during an otherwise difficult time. Home made gift and letters can also mean a lot.
Time spent helping others is never wasted.
