Principal's Welcome

I'm proud to be the Principal at Edmonds Elementary School. We have been working to create a wonderfully warm feeling of family friendship and student pride in our special small school. The teachers are cheerful, upbeat, well-trained, and dedicated to the growth and improvement in achievement in every child.

We use cutting edge, hands-on materials in the key areas of literacy and numeracy. Children are taught "Good reader" and thinking strategies that strengthen their reading comprehension and their ability to solve problems.

We place a major emphasis on kindness, caring, respect, and cooperation. Children are assigned jobs and given opportunities to help run the school.

Our parents are wonderfully supportive and giving of their time and energy to better the conditions for learning for all of the children. They ensure that our teachers have a plethora of equipment and supplies at their fingertips, to facilitate learning and enabling them to respond spontaneously to emerging areas of need.

Children and teachers look forward to coming to school here every day. Friendships abound, instruction is stimulating and challenging, and every child is guaranteed a chance to meet with success on a daily basis.
