Fundraising

As a public school, Cedar Way Elementary is continuously searching for alternative outside resources to help fund various programs and projects that support our students and school community.  We are involved with a number of fundraising projects throughout the year. 

We strive to involve our entire student body and local community in helping to work to raise funds for our school.  Although participation in any fundraiser is optional, we have greater success when more students and families are involved.

Have you ever bought something from a store for yourself or as a gift?  Have you ever given a gift card?  Then SCRIP is made just for you!  Major retailers want to give our school money.  To find out what SCRIP is and how it benefits you and our school, click here.

Below are some of the businesses and companies that offer support for Cedar Way.  Click on one to see how you can help support our school through them.

Business partners in our local community provide ways raise funds without much effort at all.   Albertson’s grocery store, including our close neighbor on 212^th & 44^th W, is a supporter of our school.  Through Albertson’s “Community Partners” program, you can help support our school by simply presenting your Community Partners card.  Students received envelopes with the cards to take home.  If you need a card or replacement card, please contact our school at (425) 431-7864, or our PTO be email.  The cards can be used at any Albertson’s stores.  There is no cost at all to you for this program!  The Cedar Way Elementary number to use is 490001076881.

Earn cash for our school!  Look for the Box Tops picture above on select products.  Collect box tops ("Box Tops for Education") from General Mills, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Yoplait, Green Giant, etc. and turn them in at school.  Our school gets $ .10 for each box top turned in (sometimes more).

Verizon, a telecommunication company, offers a program where customers can request Verizon to contribute 5% of your long distance bill to our school.  This is at NO EXTRA COST AT ALL TO VERIZON LONG DISTANCE CUSTOMERS.

Here’s how it works –

• If you have long distance service through Verizon, simply call 1-877-X-CREDIT
• If you don’t have long distance through Verizon and want to, call 1-877-X-CREDIT, sign up for Verizon long distance, and choose Cedar Way Elementary in Edmonds School District in Mountlake Terrace, Washington as the school you wish to have Verizon support.  They offer a switching “rebate” to all new customers.

Then, with NO EXTRA COST AT ALL TO CUSTOMERS, Verizon donates 5% of your bill (from their pocket) to our school!  Call Verizon today to participate, or go to this click here! 

Target credit card holders can direct a percentage of their monthly bill to go to Cedar Way Elementary.  Credit card holders of Mervyn’s are also eligible.  Please contact Target, or go online to www.target.com.
