Frozen eyelids?  Moose on the playground?  Children around the school listened in wonder and amazement as Cindy Lou Aillaud shared her wonderful nonfiction story Recess at 20 Below.  Mrs. Aillaud is an not only an author, she is also a teacher and mother (of Cedar Way 6th grade teacher Mr. Aillaud).  Teaching in Alaska provides some unique experiences, including recess with lots and lots of snow and ice.  This makes for an experience Mrs. Aillaud chose to share in a book.
