Performance Rating Criteria

The Academy Program utilizes the following four level definitions:

1. Rarely

2. Occasionally (2 out of 5 days)

3. Usually (3 out of 5 days)

4.           Consistently (4 out of 5 days)
Teachers and students will use this 4-point scale to determine readiness for the next level. These decisions will be made at progress report times, with parent notification and teacher support.

ACADEMY

English level advancement is determined by students demonstrating a proficiency in their role as Student, Citizen and Classmate, as follows:

1. Entry-Level: beginning at Level 1 (Rarely)

2. Mid-Level: Student at Level 3 (Usually) and Citizen and Classmate at Level 2 (Occasionally)

3. LAP: Level 3 (Usually)

4. General: Level 4 (Consistently)

English Levels

AMS Academy students must demonstrate proficiencies in the role of student, citizen, and classmate.
